How we measure impact

Our 5 markers of Growth & Healing

When we observe a women using reflection to learn how her past trauma is influencing her present and using this awareness to make a responsible choice that supports her well-being through one of the following markers:

  1. Setting and holding her own boundaries.

  2. Taking steps to be responsible for her own needs.

  3. Making a choice to keep herself and her family safe.

  4. Actively building relationships that are healthy and based upon trust.

Examples of thriving that occur from the above markers:

  • Prevention of relapse

  • Starting therapeutic services

  • Leaving harmful relationships

  • Pursuing education or better jobs

  • Finding safer living conditions

How we gather information

We document these markers of growth through an annual anonymous community survey and staff recording.

Staff does not keep case management notes on women.

Staff records incidents in a quantitative data capacity instead of recording identifying incidents that are linked to an individual woman.

This is to respect the privacy and relationship we have with our community members.
